saDOGlist.com featured in the 1st Annual Neighborhood Expo in NW San Antonio
October 29th, NW SA- San Antonio's online community devoted to dogs, (www.saDOGlist.com), participated in the 1st Annual Northwest-Sea World Area Neighborhood Expo at the Northwest Vista College last Saturday.
saDOGlist.com offers an online community and free services to dog lovers located in San Antonio. A movie featuring their canine-focused website, including a dog business directory of over 600 pet-related businesses, was shown at their event booth. While your dog's bowl usually holds dog food, theirs was used to gather neighborhood pet businesses information and business cards. SaDOGlist was one of two pet-related businesses at the event and brought a special attraction- Chloe, a 1 year old Pomeranian dog who gave out doggy kisses to anyone who approached the booth. Chloe was the only dog there, besides a service dog, whose owner wandered by to sign up for membership to the website.
When asked what makes saDOGlist.com so special, Alison Voore, of saDOGlist says "saDOGlist is growing everyday as new members sign up and become a part of their dog community. We've had people thank us for 'bringing San Antonio out of the dark ages' when it comes to networking and resources for the local pet market. No matter what walk of life people are from, having a dog gives you a way to relate to another person who's a dog owner. Its common ground a lot of us share. saDOGlist connects us (pet owners). San Antonio's a great city with room for improvement for pet owners." Alison says she'd like to see more dog parks and outlets for people with active lifestyles involving their pets in San Antonio. "It (the event) was really fun. It was great to meet dog owners, learn about their dogs and answer questions."
The NW SA Neighborhood Expo (www.neighborhoodexpo.com) event involved local businesses with the community directly. The event allowed residents to meet local business owners, mingle with locals, and shop neighborhood vendors. Neighborhood Expo also offered public demonstrations, Halloween treats, live music and entertainment, food, and giveaways. Overall, the event was a great success with over 80 local businesses and organizations attending. The entire building was packed with guests from the time it opened at 10am until the end at 4 pm. There will be more Neighborhood Expos in other areas of San Antonio in 2008.
saDOGlist would like to thank the residents, Neighborhood Expo, and the saDOGlist Team who helped make this event a great success! Please enjoy the pictures below to see the saDOGlist event booth.
