Your privacy is our #1 concern. Only the information you enter in your listing(s) will be displayed. Only submit the information that is necessary to promote your business. We do not recommend using personal information in your listing(s) unless it is also for your business use. We do not sell our directory information or listings to third parties. We may use your email address to notify you when your listing(s) needs to be updated or for website updates. • Are you affiliated with any government agency or a chamber of commerce?

No. This is a privately owned and operated website. We are not directly affiliated with any agency. We promote responsible dog ownership and a positive lifestyle with your dogs. We recognize the importance in owner education, and believe it is important to set a good example as well. This means that we encourage each San Antonio dog owner to follow the laws of pet waste cleanup, leash laws, and licensing. Obedience training is also important to achieve a friendly, well-behaved puppy or dog. Proper healthcare for your dog is also of interest to prevent sickness from spreading to other dogs or the public. saDOGlist's services try to help each dog owner to meet these needs for our dogs, other people and our city. • Do you provide organizations with free promotional assistance?

Yes, we provide free promotional space and copy writing for community events and organizers. At our discretion, we also provide free web space to local non-profit organizations that are actively promoting responsible dog ownership, & educate the public about dogs and their health and behavior in San Antonio, and/or on a national level.



• Does saDOGlist.com have a Community or Forum?

Not yet, but we will soon be unveiling it! saDOGlist will be launching new features to better serve our visitors and members. Our community will feature state-of the art features so you can meet other local dog owners and communicate efficiently. You will also have access to learn and helps others with their dogs in our forum. It will be an exciting place to learn about the San Antonio dog scene and meet up with other local dog owners to train and enjoy dog friends. Yes! We are looking for pictures of local dogs and their owners to put up on saDOGlist and to represent our city. If you have picture of your dog(s) looking cute or doing good training or of the two of you, Please email them Now!. Any good quality photo will be considered. We will post them on our homepage feature called "Mutt Shots" - is your dog ready to bee seen by 20,000 people a month?



• How can we comment on how great the site is or offer things for improvement?

We use our Contact Us page for many purposes. If you have questions, comments, suggestions for the site or a topic, found an error, want to advertise, need some help, or just want to say how much you like the site, use our easy contact form on our Contact Us page or Send Us an Email. Absolutely and of course! There are a lot of people that love dogs, but do not have the lifestyle to accommodate one on a full-time basis. Pet sitting for a friend is a great way to spend time with a dog also.



• Does saDOGlist.com have an Email Newsletter?

Yes, we send email newsletters every month, or so, to update our subscribers of new features, events, coupons, tips on dogs, and more. As our site grows so will our newsletter. • What features does the Dog Business Directory offer?

There are over 700 dog-related business in the saDOGlist Dog Business Directory. You will find any type of service need for your dog. Most listing have reviews and ratings to tell you how others liked them- feel free to rate and review ones you know also!
You can directly email most businesses and go to their websites. Some have image galleries, documents for download and may even display their products and services. You can send the listings to your friends too!



• I do not have a dog-related business located in or near San Antonio, can I be included?

Sorry, this directory is reserved for dog-related businesses of all types and sizes operating within San Antonio and Bexar County only. All listing are moderated and hand approved. You will not find irrelevant topics on saDOGlist- no spam, no ads, no non-related info!



• How do I list my business in the Dog Business Directory?

First you must Register by choosing a username and password. These will be sent to you in a confirmation email, so you can refer to in the future. You may also have a Password Reminder sent to you if you forget your password. Remember, saDOGlist.com will never ask you for your password. Now you can add a listing. We offer several different levels of membership, so please review our Membership Comparison Chart found in our Advertising page. If you do not want to list your business yet, choose No Listing. At any time, you may login to add your listing, edit your listings, or upgrade your membership.

Use “Change my information” button to change your e-mail address and/or account password. When adding your listing, select a category and/or subcategory for it to reside under. You may choose up to 10 category/subcategory combinations to help that relate to your business and services. Remember, all listings must be approved by the administrator so any false or irrelevant categories will be excluded before listings are approved. Please list all the information in reference to your business. Personal information should be withheld unless it is also used to conduct your business.

All listings will be reviewed by an administrator before being added to saDOGlist’s Dog Business Directory. You will receive an email confirmation of your listing being approved or rejected when it is reviewed. For further help, please refer to the side box on the right column called “Support Center”. It includes helpful tips for whatever action you are trying to complete.



• I forgot my password! How can I retrieve it?

When you first signed up, we sent you an email with your login information in it. If you cannot find this email, you may request a Password Reminder. Remember, saDOGlist.com will never ask for your password.



• How do I add my logo or banner to my listing?

Use the Browse button to find the file on your computer, by looking through folders and viewing thumbnails if you cannot remember the name of the file. Refer to the size limits for the allowed sizes of images.

Logo- 300x300 pixels

After choosing the file you want your listing to display, click the Upload button. This adds the image to you listing. If your image is added successfully, you will automatically refresh to see your uploaded image. If your image is denied, it is either too large, the wrong file type, or other reasons. Please try again and if still unsuccessful, please Contact Us immediately so we can assist you in uploading your image.



• What does it cost to list my business?

Please refer to our Advertising page for more information on Membership Levels and pricing.



• What if my city is not listed in the “locations” search box?

San Antonio has many cities enclosed with its’ city limits, even some that are only residential areas. Some of these small cities are recognized locally but not by the United States Postal Service, and, therefore, some do not have postal zip codes. The businesses located in these cities will use a San Antonio zip code and city name for their business listing. It may be better to search for these businesses by using a nearby city as the location or by searching for the zip code as the keyword.

Some businesses are located within recognized smaller cities in San Antonio, but continue to say they reside in San Antonio. This is an optional choice a business has, but for better search results, we suggest that businesses be as specific as possible for our local audience. If your legal, postal address is different, please include it in your listing’s description.

saDOGlist.com is currently planning to improve the user-ability of our Dog Business Directory, which includes a zip-code radius search function and other features to help our members and viewers find a reputable, and nearby professional dog service.

• My search term was general but there were no search results displayed! Why?

We have two basic functions to our search. Located on the left side column is the Business Name search, plus location choice. Located on the main, top navigation menu bar is the Search All function. The “search all” is for keywords only and the left side search is to search for business names, plus a location choice. They do not work together, only separately.

If you choose to Search All, results in all locations will be shown. This is good if you are searching for a business on a street or a particular zip code. For instance, using the street name as the keyword will produce results of the listing with the street name in the listing, most likely the address. It is also good if you are searching for a particular service, like potty training. For instance, if you were to use potty training as the keyword, your results will most likely display a dog trainer who specializes in potty training or a store that sells potty training supplies. Remember, the results will only be shown if the listing has that term in their listing. If they do it, but don’t mention it in their listing’s description, it will not show in your search results.

If you choose to search by Business Name plus Location choice function, your results will be narrowed down by your choice of location, unless you choose to search in “all locations”. This search function also only searches for your term in the business name field, so addresses and services will not be relevant to the search.

Please use the Search All for all other searches that do not contain a business name. Use the Business Name Search for finding a business that you know all or some of the name for. For instance, your friend recommended Becky’s Grooming Shop, so you enter that name as the business name term and choose all locations. Your results will show that grooming shop only and others with similar terms in all locations. Another instance would be to search for Training as the keyword and Bulverde as the location. These results would show all businesses with the word “Training” in their name found in Bulverde.

If you still do not find results, please use the Advanced Search. The advanced search allows you to search for multiple fields and is more accurate if you are still receiving too many results. You may also access the advanced search link found under our basic search on the left side column. Soon we will be improving our search functions to serve you better. They will include more options, better results, and introduce a zip-code radius feature to help you narrow your area. At the present number of listing we have, our current search function is appropriate. It is also possible that the search function is not working correctly on the website. Please test the search using a different term that positively will produce results. If still no results, please contact us immediately to notify us of the malfunction.



• Why is a business I know exists not in the Dog Business Directory?

There are a lot of dog-related businesses in the metropolitan area of San Antonio. If you know of a dog business in our area that is not on our site, please contact us asap! Contact us
